High Number of Coronavirus Deaths Recorded Since January

Today 194 people have tested positive to the disease, out of a sample size of 3,935 tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed positive cases are now 104,500. The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,273,281. From the cases 146 are Kenyans while 48 are foreigners.
39 patients have recovered from the disease, 36 from various health facilities while 3 are from the Home Based and Isolation Care. Total recoveries now stand at 85,665.
Unfortunately, 10 patients have succumbed to the disease pushing our cumulative fatalities to 1,837. Our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their loved ones.
344 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 1,283 patients are on Home Based Isolation & Care. 55 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, 26 of whom are on ventilatory support & 23 on supplemental oxygen. 6 patients are on observation.
