Meet The Vadoma People, Tribe Where People are Born With Two Toes

Meet The Vadoma People, a Tribe Where People are Born With Two Toes, Find Out Why

The Vadoma tribe, also known as Doma or Dema, is the only hunter-gatherer tribe in Zimbabwe living in the Kanyemba region around the basins of a tributary of the Zambezi River Valley.

These people are popularly known as the ostrich people. This is because they are born with two toes and do hunting and gathering for their survival.

They speak the Dema language and believe their ancestors emerged from a baobab tree and walked upright to hunt and gather fruits.

Scientists say their condition is due to years of controlled marriage since the tribe does not allow members of their tribe to marry outsiders.

Below are some of their photos.
