Kisumu County Governor Prof. Anyang Nyong'o has delivered a powerful message hours after addressing a press conference at the City Hall to dismiss specuations that Kisumu is going the Indian way in the Coronavirus infections.
Specuations came after the Indian variant cases were detected in 8 positive patients three weeks ago.
The Covid-19 cases were believed to be deadlier than the common virus sending jitters to public that Kisumu might be going the Indian way in the coming days.
In his post, Governor Nyong'o has cleared the air to dismiss the speculations emphasizing that they've done a massive contact tracing and ready to battle with any variant if arises.
"No new India variant cases have been detected besides the eight positive cases confirmed three weeks ago. We have conducted massive contact tracing and enforced tough public health rules. Just like other cities, Kisumu is doing her best to fight the stubborn virus!" Governor Nyong'o announced.
