Menstruation is a normal monthly process in the female reproductive system. It is under this time that females begin to experience various effects of hormonal changes. Research shows that most females usually experience nausea, abdominal pains, mood swings, headaches, bloating and fatigue among others.

First of all, we must understand that menstruation involves loss of blood. With that in mind, the basic foods to consume at first should be rich in magnesium and iron. Iron is a nutrient involved in the manufacture of blood and is mostly found in magnesium rich foods. These include; Beans, Fish, White Meat such as Chicken and Pork. Include all protein rich foods in your diet too.
Take a lot of vitamins specifically in fruits such as apples , avocados and bananas. Vitamins will help in hormone regeneration and assist in wearing off the side effects of menstruation. Lastly, drink a lot of water. Preferably, make sure to drink eight glasses of water.
