According to the government statements, the facility cost 230 million. This majorly includes the infrastructure other than the machinery. The medical equipment may raise it even higher. The development is good news to the people of Mount Kenya East. The whole region will enjoy it's services.
Ruto has been an enemy of those in powerful government positions. His invitation to officially launch the hospital has sparked speculations. The political world is full of surprises which get the voter caught unaware.
Currently only two leaders from the Meru region are supporting Ruto's bid. The other bigwigs are all in Raila Odinga's camp. Peter Munya and Kiraitu Murungi have vowed to work together.
