Schools is expected to reopen for grade 1-3, class 5-7 and form 1-3 on 10th May for the third term. There is anxiety among the education stakeholders that the president might extend the lockdown which will eventually affect the school reopening.

The teacher service commission has encouraged teachers to get vaccinated against the virus. So far, about 123000 teachers have so far been vaccinated. The health ministry said the second jab will arrive in the country by June this year.
