Medical Breakthrough As Doctors Successfully Transplant a Pig Kidney Into a Human For The 1st Time

According to data by the World Health Organization, over 12 patients die daily due to a lack of organ Transplant services after suffering organ failure. Kidney failure leads the list with very many people Losing their lives because they could not get a donor to give them a kidney. 

Such patients could finally have a reason to smile after doctors from New York successfully used an animal organ on a human being. 

Doctors in New York have successfully transplanted a gene-edited pig kidney into a human for the first time ever in the U.S. The doctors first edited the pig's gym in order to stop the kidney from producing certain sugars that would have resulted in the rejection of the organ by the human body. The move will no doubt be considered a medical breakthrough that will save thousands of lives if fully adopted around the world.
