Governor George Natembeya of Trans Nzoia has advised physicians to cease activities at their private business locations and concentrate instead on the County. Natembeya claims that some of the medical professionals are not working for the County but instead managing their own private hospitals.
Trans Nzoia County's health professionals had been urged by the county's governor to decide between working for the county government or going it alone. He makes it abundantly apparent that patients cannot be forced to deal with absent doctors simply because such doctors are employed by private healthcare facilities.
Natembeya has made it clear that he will not hesitate to dismiss medical professionals who operate their own private businesses. In his opinion, health professionals should focus on issues that are important to them rather than those that are related to their own interests.

The administration has pledged to see that the concerns of the residents of Trans Nzoia County are taken care of. He makes it clear that during his tenure as governor, nurses, doctors, and pharmacists who run private hospitals and clinics must be ready for a difficult time.
