Faith Natsoli from Kakamega candidly narrates how she was told by doctors that she wouldn't conceive, after she had cancer on her pelvic bone but a miracle happened.
According to her she was born and raised in Kisumu. She was raised by her sister after her parents died when she was still very young. When she finished her secondary education she started felling pain on one of her legs.
She says the pain continued until when she finished university education. It made it difficult for her to walk. After University she got a job and also got married. She got pregnant for her first child and her condition worsened she was bedridden until when she gave birth.
She decided to ask treatment when her baby was about one year and she was diagnosed with bone cancer. The cancer had affected her pelvic bone which was close to her ovaries. The doctors told her that she needed radio therapy which would affect her ability to have children.
Faith was determined to get treated and she received thirty three sessions of radio therapy, after she finished the treatment and she was cancer free.
"My cancer had been treated but I wouldn't have children anymore." She says.
Her ovaries were also affected and she couldn't conceive. Therefore she accepted her fate and moved on with life. However a few months later she started feeling unwell. She decided to see her doctor who performed several tests on her.
Faith was in shock when the doctors told her that she was pregnant and the scan showed that she was carrying triplets. They were in shock and nine months later she gave birth to triplets.
She believes that she is an encouragement to women who have suffered from cancer and believe that they cannot conceive.
