Alarming Sign of the Deadly Disease That Often Appear On the Nails

Cancer is one of the most deadly disease in the world. It is known as a disease with vague symptoms. You may have it and don’t know about it until when it has grow and spread  entirely. When diagnosed and treated early, it can significantly alter the outcome of it.

They are different kind of cancer. From carcinoma, sarcoma, lymphoma, to leukemia, but they is this one called Melanoma which is the fifth common cancer in country such as UK. It causes huge numbers of deaths everyday.

Aside from a condition that occurs on the surface of the skin, in the form of a sore or a mole, bleeding, rashes, ulceration, unusual itchy skin, melanoma occurs when the pigment producing cells that give colour to the skin become cancerous.

Melanoma grow very quickly and it can become a life threatening in as little as six weeks and if untreated it can spread to other parts of the body.

This condition appear around and under the toenail and fingernails. It mostly affect the big toe of your dominant foot or hand and also the thumb.

The signs of melanoma includes bump under the nail, black or brown streak under the nail, a nail that is pulling more easily away from the nail bed, and dark skin around the nails. If you notice any of the above you should warrant immediate medical attention.
