Today, ministry of health announced that 148 people tested positive to corona virus disease from a sample of 2,163 people tested in the last 24 hours which is a positivity rate of 6.3%. 144 of those who tested positive are Kenyans while the remaining 4 are foreigners. The youngest is a one-year-old baby while the oldest is 87 years old. Upto date, 172,639 people have tested positive to the virus since the day the first case was reported in the country.The good news is that 631 patients have been reported to have recovered from the virus, 496 of them being from Home Based care and Isolation centers and 135 from various health facilities￼ countrywide. Upto now, 118,226 patients have fully recovered from the virus.In terms of distribution of distribution of the cases per counties, Nairobi leads with 48 cases followed by Homa Bay with 46 cases. Mombasa comes third with 8 cases, Uasin Gishu recorded 7 cases, Machakos recorded 6 cases and Kisumu county recorded 5 cases.
