The situation in Kisumu is still worsening as per daily updates on Covid-19. Today the Ministry Of Health has delivered another discouraging news on state of the virus in the county. The reports are as follows.
The country has recorded an increase in the number of new cases compared to what was recorded yesterday, the new cases are 589. This after a sample size of 4, 995 was conducted. This brings the total confirmed cases to 173, 661. The cumulative tests stands at 1, 845, 884 since the country reported its first case of corona in March 2020.
On the other hand, the positivity rate has risen from the previous one to 11.8 per cent. This is actually very discouraging since we are expecting that cases drop and rate also decrease or flattens.
It is some how good that the a total 312 of Covid-19 victims have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. This sum up the total recoveries to 118, 933.
Again it's sad that the country has lost 19 more individuals as a result of the virus. Adding total fatalities to 3, 345.
Distribution as per counties, Kisumu is still leading with the highest number of new cases. The county has recorded a total of 100 Confirmed new cases. More details about counties check on the table below
