Barely 14 months since the first case of Coronavirus was announced in the country, the Ministry of Health in conjunction with the Government have set aside measures to curb its spread despite sweeping off 3,049 lives up to today May 22nd.
With the positive cases rising up to 168,108 people, a point of concern have been drawn to a number of counties that have witnessed an increase in the number of the new cases within the last one week, with a number of them reporting the deadly Indian virus.
These counties include; Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru, Kitui, Kericho, Busia, Bungoma, Mombasa and Migori. This comes after the Ministry of Health showed concern in increasing spread of the Indian Variant across the counties of the Lake Side Region.
With all these, the Ministry continues to urge citizens to follow to the letter the laid down protocols, with an update that today's positivity rate has surged o 9.9 per cent, with six new fatalities and 119 patients struggling for their lives in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU.
