Today, 134 people have tested positive for the coronavirus disease, from a sample size of 6,047 tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is now at 2.2%. This has raised the total confirmed positive infections to 251,803 from the cumulative tests of 2,630,712.
What is sad news to Kenyans is that the number of deaths keeps on rising. Today, eight more patients have died from the virus, all of them being late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in October 2021. This has pushed the total number of fatalities to 5,210.
The good news is that 142 patients have recovered increasing the total recoveries to 245,077.
In my view, people should continue embracing the regulation put in place by the government to contain this pandemic.
