Reactions After Vocal Politician Raises Alarm on Those Who Attended Madaraka Day Celebrations

Vocal Nyeri politician has raised alarm on those who attended Madaraka Day celebrations which happened at Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu County. The Nyeri Deputy Governor has warned all those who attended the celebrations to self-isolate as cases of Covid-19 virus in Kisumu increases daily.

Nyeri County Deputy Governor, Caroline Karugu has since been on quarantine as she urges leaders who attended the function to get tested for Covid-19 virus the same way she did.

Some of the individuals who attended the function have since gone into isolation as they wait for their Covid-19 results. Several hospitals in Nyanza region are full to capacity with Covid-19 patients as experts warn of an outbreak in the region.

The statement by Nyeri County Deputy Governor has elicited reactions in the following ways;
