The board in charge of inspecting meat in Kenya has given a shocking report on the meat being sold to Kenyans by supermarkets and butcheries.
They have found that meat, chicken and pork sold has a bacteria known as E.coli that is causing serious health problems when consumed. The bacteria is mostly found in intestines of people and animals.
According to the report this is caused by either the unhygienic condition that the meat is subjected to during slaughtering and transportation, poor storage methods like freezing it for long.
The research further shows that such kind of meat is the major cause of reduced immunity in the body and may cause vomiting and running stomach.
