Foods that Take Away a Day from Your Life Every Time You Eat them

There are some foods that are greatly loved by people and cannot be resisted most of the times but it seems they are not healthy and dangerous to your health. 

According to the American Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these foods are so harmful that they can subtract up to a day from your life. Though they may have a good taste, they have little or nutrients and have ingredients that are not healthy. These foods are high in preservatives, fats and sodium that can be dangerous to your health. 

Here are the foods that shorten your life;

1. Roasted meat

Those who love meat will tell you that this is one of the best ways to have their meat but according to the World Health Organization (WHO) when you roast meat a dangerous compound known as heterocyclic amines are formed. The heterocyclic amines can cause different kinds of cancers such as breast, colorectal, prostrate and pancreatic. These cancers can prematurely end your life. 

2. Pizza

Though loved by many people pizza is not healthy if you want to live long. According to CDC, pizza contains ammonium sulphate and L-Cysteine hydrochloride which are used as preservatives. These ingredients are not healthy and their main uses is that they are usually used as a fertilizer and a drug respectively. It is advisable that you prepare your pizza alone at home to be safe. 

3. Chips

Many people love chips but what they do not know is that this many people’s favourite is one of the worst foods for their bodies. A plate or a serving of the deep fried potatoes is always high in fats and salt. Those ingredients may expose one to obesity, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. All these conditions can lead you to your grave if they are not dealt with in good time. 

4. Hot dogs

The WHO warns that there are many reasons not to eat this food because of its ingredients. Hot dog ingredients like salt, sodium nitrate and corn syrup are carcinogenic and can expose one to cancer if they are consumed daily. 

5. Sausage and beacon

Those who are mindful of their health will tell you that processed meats are not good for your health. Processed meat products contain nitrites and nitrates which are carcinogenic when exposed to high temperatures. The red meats also contain advanced glycation end compounds which are inflammatory and cause several illnesses that can cause death.
