According to Muturi, health should be taken as a natural activity which means leaders should avail the necessary medical equipments beforehand. He gave an example of Covid-19 which made many leaders rush to buy medical supplies despite the fact that they had the ability to do so before the pandemic came.
"Hivi juzi tumeona wakati covid imeingia almost every corner every county were rushing to put up ICU beds, HDU and all of them. I looked at that and I wondered should this have been the natural thing for everybody to do because health is devolved sasa covid ndiyo imetuamsha, surely? It means pesa zilikuwepo why were we not doing that, is it because we don't value the peeople," said Speaker Muturi.
Muturi also warned public servants against competing with business people. He said that they should be contented with the salaries they get and they should not make their work be their businesses because that how corruption sets in.
"Unalipwa mshahara, tosheka na ule mshahara. Wale ambao mungu amewapatia akili za kufanya biashara wacheni wafanye biashara. You as public servants should not compete with the private business people because that is how corruption entrances itself," added Speaker Muturi.
