The president highlighted the following
1. Curfew hours will remain unchanged for the next 30 days in the Western region. Therefore hours of curfew will remain 7pm to 4 am in the Lake region. This is after the lake region identified to be hotspot zones for Covid-19 pandemic.
The Nationawide curfew hours will remain 10pm to 4am for the next 60 days.
2.All kind of gatherings including wedding places, church worships are banned for the next 60 days.
3. The government is targeting to vaccinate 10 million adults by the end of this year.
Starting August, the ministry of health will be vaccinating 150,000 People daily.
" We aspire to vaccinate the entire adult population, that is 26 million people by the end of 2022," President Uhuru Kenyatta announced.
In addition, the vaccine will be free though no one will be forced to take it.
" We need to undertake education, this way we will build herd immunity," President Uhuru Kenyatta added.
