Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru on Sunday 27th 2021 launched a 10 - day covid-19 vaccination campaign targeting large number of Mwea residents ahead of Mashujaa Day Celebration.
During the event, the Country boss revealed that the number of people passing away in Kirinyaga has risen from one hundred to three hundred every week. She further urged the area residents to visit various health facilities across the county to receive covid-19 jab.
On matters concerning politics the county boss said that she would listen to the 'ground' before making a conclusive decision on which party ticket she will be defending her seat on in the upcoming poll.
This comes just days after she hinted on joining William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ahead of the August General Election.
While at a Mwea Constituency hotel, Ann Waiguru surprised many people when she personally served area Members of County Assembly tea. In a video going round on social media the county boss is seen holding a kettle while serving the leaders tea.
Her act of humility has however moved the hearts of Kenyans who immediately flooded her social media page with congratulatory messages.
