From report issued today by the ministry of health concerning Covid-19 rates of infections in our country is that the positivity rate today stands at 8.4% which has dropped from yesterday positivity rate which was 9.3%. Today 488 people have tested positive from a sample size 5,831 conducted in the last 24 hours.
Today, Nairobi county leads with 90 cases followed by Busia county with 72 cases and the rest counties follows. Kisumu county which was the epicentre of recording high number of Covid-19 infections seems to be recovering after recording few positive cases of Covid-19 in the last two days.
However, today Busia county has today surpassed Kisumu county with 37 more cases thus contributing to 15% of cases reported nationwide. This is a clear indication that things are not moving well in Busia county and therefore more strict measures should be enacted in that county in order to prevent it from arriving the state which Kisumu county was.
