The NHIF today conducted a mass biometriclaunch at Chepkemel Chief's office in Sigowet Soon sub county in Kericho county.The deputy Governor of Kericho county Lily Ng'ok presided over the launch where she was with other NHIF officials.
Together with the officials from NHIF,the deputy governor sensitized the residents of the need and importance of joining the health care scheme.She said that the scheme usually provide help whenever is not in position to pay for a hospital bill and this is seen as a life saver.
The county government of Kericho in the leadership of the governor and the deputy governor had previously identified 12000 needy households and paid for them the monthly subscription for six months.
"Health indeed is wealth and I encourage all residents of good will to subscribe to this important scheme as it will help save lives of many people in Kericho.My job is always to guide the people of Kericho and I can't take you the wrong way."said The deputy governor.
