Turkana Governor Nanok Pays Tribute to Dead ‘Brilliant Surgeon’ On Burial Day

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok has paid tribute to the late Dr. Stephen Namoru Ekitela who was a director of Lodwar County Referral hospital at the county Ministry of Health.

Namoru passed away after a short illness. Nanok described him as a “kind and generous man and brilliant surgeon who at just 46 years old, had a lot to offer in service to the community.”

Followers of Nanok on Facebook mourned the death of the doctor acknowledging that it was indeed a great loss to the county.

Clement Nadio wrote that it’s “a great loss for Turkana County. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Eternal peace.”

Ignitious Elaar said that the surgeon died at very young age and such brilliance irreplaceable. “Go well doctor,” he added.

According to Lokwaki Peter, the surgeon discharged his duties diligently and with commitment. On the other hand Mary Kerio urged other doctors and nurses in the county to emulate Namoru’s character.

May his soul rest in peace.
