Sunday 23rd January was a sad moment as one of the iconic governors passed on in one of the hospitals in Nairobi. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile is the governor of the Central Bank of Uganda who was admitted on December 31st, 2021. He passed on today morning at around 5 am.
The late died due to complications that come with diabeties. Other than being a governor, he will be remembered for being a professional economist who doubled up as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the BankS of Uganda. He also worked at the treasury in Uganda in the early 1990s.
His counterpart from Kenya Mr. Patrick Njoroge condoled with the family today acknowledging the good moments he spend with the late governor. Part of his condolence message read, "We will miss his wise counsel, experience, and gentle humor," We as the Opera News family deeply condole with our brothers and sisters from Uganda and all we can say is may the late rest in eternalpeace. Thank you.
