Lockdown Looming? Temperatures High As President Is Expected To Address The Nation Tonight

Yoweri Kaguda Museveni will address the nation at around 8 p.m. on September 22, 2021.

Ugandans are eagerly awaiting President Yoweri Museveni's address to the nation, which will focus on the Covid-19 pandemic, economic progress, and other issues that affect Ugandans.

The President's speech comes after meetings of the National Coronavirus Command Council, the President's Coordinating Council, and the Cabinet in recent days.

President Yoweri Museveni recently addressed the nation, extending the curfew for another 30 days and ordering the shutdown of clubs.

“As Uganda implements its COVID–19 vaccination program, the government and social partners are closely monitoring infection, treatment, recovery, and vaccination rates, as well as compliance with health regulations and other preventive measures,” President Museveni said in his last address to the nation.

President Museveni is anticipated to raise the country's security level to Level 1 and announce the gradual opening of stadiums and other large gathering venues, although this will necessitate vaccinations.

Ugandans have therefore been urged to continue being patient and adhere to the new directives which President Yoweri Museveni in collaboration with the ministry of health enacted to the country concerning Covid-19 protection.
