Larry Madowo Gets A Pfizer Vaccine Shot In Washington DC.

The world is currently battling with a deadly COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the United States has a total of 31,171,496 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and unfortunately 561,231 people have succumbed to the virus. According to bloomberg news 768 million vaccine doses have been administered across 154 countries. So far 183 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the US.

Larry Madowo, a Kenyan journalist working for the BBC as the North America correspondent has also received a COVID-19 vaccine. Larry shared the good news with his twitter followers by writing, "I got the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday in DC and I'm feeling fine. As everyone knows, the vaccine doesn't work if you don't take a picture." The tweet was then followed by a photo of Larry being injected with the Pfizer vaccine.

Pfizer-BioNTech said on April 1 its vaccine was about 91-percent effective at preventing COVID-19. Well congratulations to Larry for taking a bold step and accepting the vaccine and also encouraging skeptical Kenyans to accept the vaccine when readily available.
