Researchers in the university of Eldoret have been putting so much energy in the fight for Covid 19. The university vice Chancellor , professor Teresia Akenga , said that the researchers are working with the herbalist to find a cure for the deadly virus .The students researchers are using different herbs to test the appropriate cure.
Despite looking for the cure , the professor together with the researchers are supporting the Kenyans who go out to earn a living despite the situation. The university staff came together and bought soap which they gave the neighbourhood to help fight corona virus .
There are also a part of the team who go around sensitizing people on measures of preventing this disease as they help the ones in serious issues . Akenga is one among those in the front line as she donates masks and other supplies to the community around the university to help fight the Covid 19 .Talking on behalf of the researchers , Akenga said that it is the university mandate to help vulnerable groups and carry out community outreach to the affected people .
At the same time , the university of Eldoret management is working it's way out to start their online learning. Their professor Akenga said that the closure caught them unaware and they have alot to cover since their semister was still ongoing.
