Natural Remedies for Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis, whether of the hands, hip, cervical, etc., is an aging, wear and tear of the joints, cartilage, leading to inflammation, or even small bone growths (osteophytes) in the joints.

It should be noted that one in 4 people suffer from pain in their joints. Osteoarthritis is the most common arthritis. As mentioned above, it can be osteoarthritis of the hands, cervical, hip, spine, etc.

This chronic disease gives uninterrupted pain in one and sometimes several joints.

Symptoms of osteoarthritis vary from person to person

The pain is present in only one affected joint, especially during movement. When light pressure on the joint you feel tenderness.

You can hear or feel crackles in the joint. Upon awakening or after a period of immobility, the joint is stiff for less than half an hour. This is the case with osteoarthritis of the hands, for example ...

The joint gradually loses its flexibility. When the temperature changes, there is an unpleasant sensation in the joint. And more rarely, you may have redness, swelling of the painful, inflamed joint.

There are many causes of osteoarthritis

For all forms of osteoarthritis (hands, cervical, hip, spine, etc.) diet is important, but not only. Osteoarthritis can come from other sources, or even a combination of several causes:

A deficiency in mineral salts and trace elements; a lack of physical activity; excess weight; a diet too rich in protein which acidifies the body and leads to demineralization; repetitive movements; repeated small joint trauma; off-center joints; wearing high heels (osteoarthritis of the knee) or even hereditary predispositions.

 1. Nettle tea recipe:

Leave to infuse about 10 minutes after turning off the heat and putting a lid on, about ten fresh nettle leaves in 1 liter of boiling water.

Drink 1 to 3 cups of this herbal tea every day. After a few weeks it should work and you should feel better for your osteoarthritis of the hands, neck, spine, etc.

Ginger relieves osteoarthritis. It is a recognized anti-inflammatory, it prevents inflammation that destroys cartilage.

Take 1/3 teaspoon of ginger powder per day or 1 slice of fresh ginger per day. Ginger can be added to everyday dishes or drunk as a herbal tea.

After 6 weeks of this treatment your pain will be less severe, your mobility better and your joints more flexible.

 2. Turmeric is also an anti-inflammatory, an antioxidant, an antiviral, an antibacterial, a sanitizer which acts on the joints.

You will be less stiff (cervical osteoarthritis for example) and will have less pain (osteoarthritis of the hands for example), by consuming 3 to 4 pinches of turmeric per day, in your cooked meals. Add pepper to strengthen its action.
