Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has penned down details of meeting with Governors Anyang Nyong'o (Kisumu), Sospeter Ojaamong ( Busia), Wycliffe Wangamati ( Bungoma) Ongwae, Awiti and Sang of Nandi County.
Today, the 6 Governors with other officers attended Emergency Lake Region Economic Bloc virtual meeting to discuss on the Covid-19 situation following the rising cases in the region.
Barely a month ago, a deadly Coronavirus variant was first witnessed in Kisumu County, the case that attracted high attention resulting to an emergency meeting by the governors today.
"We are alarmed by the high Covid-19 positivity rate in the region more particularly in Kisumu County and that's why the meeting was convened to discuss prevention measures and our preparedness to handle the situation," penned Governor Oparanya over post.
Oparanya has expressed his great gratitude for the Governors and other officers who spared their time to attend the crucial meeting.
