Good News Ahead of President Uhuru's Next Address On Covid-19 Pandemic as Covid-19 Cases Decline

It is now clear that the Covid-19 situation in the country is under control, this follows a decline in positivity rate below 5 percent. Indeed the journey has been long but for now we can see hopes.

Today, the Ministry of health has reported that only 91 people have tested positive (88 cases are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners) for Covid-19 pandemic, from a sample size of 3,435 tested in the last twenty four hours. The Countrywide positivity rate is now at 2.7 percent.

In terms of county distribution, Nairobi 29, Nakuru 10, Uasin Gishu 6, and Meru 5. These are the only counties that recorded more than five Covid-19 cases.

Does this mean that Covid-19 pandemic is ceasing in the country?

The Covid-19 positivity rate has declined just at the time when Kenyans are expecting President Uhuru Kenyatta to address on thd Covid-19 measures, especially curfew implementation, which expired three days ago.

Opinion. Although president Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to announce the way forward, Kenyans should expect good news especially if the trend will remain in this manner.

What is your expectation on the next presidential address?
