Health experts have finally broken their silence on the flu outbreak that has been a topic of concern in most parts of the country.
Kenyans have been told to be alert during this flu outbreak as they need to take preventive measures to make sure that they are protected against another wave of Covid-19.
This comes a time when the government of Kenya lifted restrictions like the mandatory wearing of face masks in public places but now things seems to get worse as there has been an outbreak of flu suspected to be another wave of Covid-19.
Kenyans have been told to continue with the preventive measures like washing hands and maintaining social distance for them not to be affected with the flu outbreak.
"We need to continue Washing our hands and observe social distance while in public places," says Professor Matilu Mwau an infectious disease researcher at KEMRI.
According to Dr.Patrick Amoth who is the acting health director general, he has maintained that the virus is still with us and Kenyans should be very vigilant.
"We have not defeated this yet. We have the virus with us and we should continue measures and ensure that we remain safe," Dr. Amoth said.
The Covid-19 modelling experts have warned that there is a possibility of another wave around the corner hence Kenyans should be set.
".....My prediction of a new wave still stands....," Said Dr.Shem Otoi who is a member of the advisory committee on infectious disease.
