Many countries across the world are currently focusing on vaccinating their citizens against the deadly disease known as Coronavirus. This is after scientists worked hard and developed various vaccines that are meant to protect human beings from being infected by the virus.
Some of the vaccines that were developed include the Astrazeneca vaccine and Sputnik V vaccine, which was developed by Russia. Kenya is among the country that has begun using both vaccines but the government suspended the use of Sputnik V vaccine until further notice.
This is after concerns were raised after it was discovered that the Sputnik V vaccine was being imported into the country by private firms for commercial purposes. High-profile leaders including Deputy President Dr. William Samoiei was already vaccinated by the Russian Covid 19 Vaccine.
Former presidential candidate Mwalimu Abduba Dida has come out to defend Deputy President William Ruto over reports that the Russian Vaccine was stopped because of links with Dp Ruto. Dida said that there are more evil forces in this country and not everything is about DP Ruto.
"There is a misguided notion that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine was stopped because it is linked to Ruto. Kenyans should know that there are bigger evil forces in this country. Not everything is about Ruto. He is very inconsequential here. The devil’s headquarters is here." He tweeted.
The government is expected to give further directions even after the Sputnik V vaccine was cleared to be used for emergency purposes.
