Governor Hillary Barchok Issued Covid 19 Report Card for Past one Year

The governor for Bomet County Dr. Hillary Barchok issued Covid 19 report card.He said the first case of Covid 19 in Bomet County was reported exactly a year ago.Since then Bomet County has recorded a cumulative total of 608 positive cases from a sample size of 2,789 cases tested over the past one year.

Barchok said as the county take stock of the damages caused by the disease in Bomet for the past one year,it is worth noting that the intervention measures have borne fruits.The front line workers across the county have tried their best and they must be appreciated for putting their effort to save lives.The Oxygen manufacturing plant in Longisa hospital produces enough oxygen for all the 296 beds spread across the isolation facilities in Bomet county.

The county Emergency Response committe co-chaired by the governor and the county commissioner Susan Waweru remains on high alert especially during this deadly third wave of Covid 19.In collaboration with the office of the county commissioner,they have laid down measures to curtail further spread of the virus in the community.Despite the health challenges posed by Covid 19,normal operations in the health facilities across the county are ongoing.The governor urged the people to seek medical attention in case of fever,headache and other signs of sickness.
