Kisii Leader Urges Residents To Follow Ministry Of Health Protocols To Avoid Spread Of Covid-19 Virus

Kisii political leader Okeng’o Nyambane has asked  residents to take precaution and follow covid19 guidelines given by the ministry of health to curb more spread of virus.

This is after the country is continuing reporting high numbers of Civid29 cases in Nyanza region for the past one week.

Addressing the press in Kisii county  senatorial aspirant said that this is the time people should be more vigilant because our region is recording high positivity cases every day.

 “We have witnessed worrying positivity rates in Nyamira and Kisii counties in the past few days, we are asking our people to be extra careful and follow Ministry of health guidelines, “said Okeng’o.

The leader said it’s now time for everyone to participate in masking up their faces, washing hands and maintaining social distance to help curb the spread of the virus.

He noted that elderly people are more vulnerable to this pandemic and should be advised to stay at home and avoid public gatherings and any movement due to their weaker immunity.

Due to higher positive cases, Kisii County government has already closed churches for two weeks to curb the spread of the virus.

The county also closed down the government headquarters due to high positive cases among the employees and advised them to work from home.
