Coronavirus cases continue to reduce in our country. Today the Ministry of Health headed by Mutahi Kagwe has posted on a Twitter account that 74 people have been confirmed to have contracted covid-19. This is from a sample size of 3,987 tested in the last 24 hours. What might be a relief to Kenyans is that the positivity rate has dropped to 1.9%. The total number of confirmed infections has gone up to 252,033.
The good news is that the number of recoveries is increasing every day. Today, 76 patients have recovered from the disease with 60 from the home-based isolation and care program.
Sadly, eight Kenyans have died from the virus pushing the total fatalities to 5,223.
