Speaking with the Standard on Tuesday, George who is Jakoyo's elder brother revealed that the former legislator fell suddenly ill and was taken to Nairobi Hospital on Saturday evening when his blood pressure was reportedly very low.
This forced the doctors to immediately rush him to the Intensive Care Unit and on Sunday evening his elder son who sat for his KCSE in March revealed that he was able to speak.
George added that on Monday, the doctors informed the family that Jakoyo had acute kidney failure, and they were trying to ascertain its cause before he died the same day in the evening at around 4pm.
Jakoyo's death is the fourth in the family in the past two weeks after the family lost their grandmother, an uncle and Jakoyo's sister whose burial is slated for Saturday June 19th.
