A few days ago, Dr. James Gekara made the headlines by killing his two children in the most brutal of fashions and then attempting to take his own life but did not succeed.
He died at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital where he had been admitted after ingesting what could not be disclosed at the time.
Yesterday, a postmoterm on his body failed to take place because of the fact that his family had not proved his identity.
The family had been ordered to get an affidavit from the courts before the post Moterm could go on and that they did.
The post Moterm has taken place today and the cause of death of the doctor has been revealed.
The doctor died as a result of ingesting a substance that is suspected to be medicine.
More toxicology tests will be done to determine what exact medicine it was that caused the death of the doctor.
Earlier on today, the local dailies ran a story of how his colleagues and friends as well as patients talked about how the doctor was.
He is described as a charming man who was jovial and was never violent contrary to his actions last weekend.
