Kenyan nurse shines at international hospital

The Rayal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RHOH) NHR Trust has promoted a Kenyan nurse Mercy Wasike to act as deputy chief nurse 

Wasike was offered the post with an aid of offering support to the chief nurse at specialist London trust.

The nurse rose to the position after working and obtaining the expected experience at the Hospital's emergency department within the hospital.

“I left home to explore an opportunity to use my gifts in service to humanity, this position validates that decision. I would like to acknowledge all those who have contributed to getting me this far on my nursing leadership journey. Wasike revealed according to Nursing times.

Wasike graduated as a bachelor's degree in nursing in Kenya and later enrolled at the university of Brighton and acquired Diploma in nursing.

Wasike joined Health Education England and led the primary care nursing as well as professional lead community.

She thereafter rose to director of nursing within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

The NHS website has rated RNOH as the biggest specialist orthopaedic hospital in UK and across the world.

This statement is also revealed by Newsweek Magazine rating the hospital as the best in the world offering orthopaedic activities.
