According to the Ministry of Health's Cabinet Secretary Mr Mutahi Kagwe, the Ministry has confirmed that 169 new individuals have been confirmed positive for Corona virus disease within the previous twenty four hours.
According to the Ministry of Health's Saturday statement on the spread of Covid-19, 12 individuals from the 169 new cases are foreign nationals while the remaining 147 are Kenyans. The Ministry has further established that the number of female infections is 81 while as male infections are 78.
Distribution of the 169 new cases per county;
Nairobi led recording 28 new cases followed by Meru which recorded 17 new cases. Turkana came in third recording 12 new cases while as Makueni came fourth with 11 new cases.
Bungoma has 10 new cases, Mombasa has 8 new cases,
Nakuru has 7, Kitui has 6, Kiambu has 6,
Kericho,Busia and Isiolo counties recorded 5 new cases each,
Uasin Gishu and Kirinyaga counties had 4 cases each,
Bomet, Baringo, Garissa and Kajiado counties recorded 3 new cases each,Nyandarua, Machakos and Marsabit counties recorded 2 cases each,
Migori 1, Nyeri 1, Narok 1, Siaya 1, West Pokot 1, Wajir 1 , Embu 1, Elgeyo Marakwet 1, Homa Bay 1, Kisumu 1, Kilifi 1, Tharaka Nithi 1 and Laikipia 1.
