Finally the fourth wave of covid-19 virus is here with us as predicted earlier by the ministry of health. Country's positivity rate has remained high an indication that something needs to be done before things get out of hands. Nation wide dusk to Dawn curfew came to an end yesterday and president Uhuru is expected to give further direction once he is back into the country.
According to the World Health Organization, the recommended country's positivity rate suitable for learning should be 5% and below but if you consider the current positivity rate, it is extremely high and this implies that we are risking the lives of our children which are the future leaders of this great nation.
Therefore in my own opinion, I humbly request president Uhuru to suspend physical learning in all institutions with immediate effect until when the positivity rate would have gone down. In addition to that Countrywide lockdown should be imposed for a period not less than one month in order to help in reducing the spread of this deadly virus.
