The Word Ambulance is written in the front of hospital vehicle so as the vehicle which is ahead of hospital vehicle can see the literally inverted alphabets correctly from his view mirror and make way it to pass through and enable to reach to the hospital quickly so as to safe someone his life.
In the above image you can see the drive driving the vehicle in front of the hospital vehicle is able to see the word ambulance correctly on the mirror.
