Water is the most important and healthy in any nutritional diet. Some people tend to forget drinking water or may choose other alternatives that are not healthy. Although there is no permanent substitute for water, the following foods or fruits can provide hydration other than water.
1.Watermelon- Watermelon is made up of 92 percent of water which makes it a great hydration fruit. Patients who are dehydrated are recommended to consume a lot of watermelons.
2.Cucumbers- Cucumbers are 96 percent water. You can always carry around cucumbers as snack in order to stay hydrated if you don't have water with you.
3.Smoothies- Create smoothies with fruits that contain a lot of water such as watermelons, pineapples, oranges, blueberries and plums. You can add some water when making the smoothies. The smoothies will act as an alternative for energy drinks.
4.Coconut water- Coconut water works great especially after a workout. It contains minerals and vitamins that help to restore electrolytes in the body. It can act as an alternative of water.
5. Milk- Both skim and fresh milk act as alternative to water. It is great for rehydration and recovery after an exercise. Skim milk is a great source compared to whole milk.
