The ministry of health Kenya has today announced that eight hundred and one people have tested positive for covid-19 in Kenya.This is out of five thousand eight hundred and fifty samples that were tested in the past twenty four hours.This has risen the positive rate to 13.7% which is a bit high as compared to the past few weeks.
Health cabinet secretary honorable Mutahi Kagwe also said that two hundred and ninety three patients recovered from and were freed.Out of these,one hundred and fifty nine were from different heath facilities across the country while others were from home based isolation care.This brings to a total of one hundred and eighty four thousand,four hundred and sixty one people who have recovered from the disease.
Kagwe however noted that fifteen patients succumbed to the disease which brings the total fatalities to three thousand eight hundred and twenty six.From the new cases reported by the ministry of health, seven hundred and eighty four are Kenyans while seventeen are foreigners.
Four hundred and twenty six are males while three hundred and seventy five are females.The youngest one is one year old baby while the eldest is ninety eight years old.
