Pharmacy and Poisons Board have come forward to clarify a report which indicated that one person died after receiving AstraZeneca Covid 19 Vaccine.

On a press release, the board denied the claims saying that it was a misreporting of the Adverse Event Following Immunization(AEFI) as fatal.
The board further clarified that there have been 279 reported cases out of which 272 were confirmed to be mild and were resolved within a short period.
On the press release signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the board, it is indicated that all the Adverse Event Following Immunization(AEFI)are under investigations and that non of them has resulted into fatal outcomes.
The board also called upon the public to report to PPB any suspected reactions including deaths for follow ups and investigations.

Earlier on Wednesday, there were reports claiming that one person had died after being injected with the AstraZeneca Covid 19 Vaccine, a report which has so far been denied by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
