"The Ministry of Health advises members of the public to not handle/touch bodies of people who died of unknown cause or those suspected to have died due to Ebola." The ministry of health posted on official social media pages.

Some of the signs and symptoms of the deadly viral disease include; pain in the abdomen, chest, joints, or muscles others are chills, dehydration, fatigue, fever, loss of appetite, malaise, or sweating.

People may also experience coughing up blood, eye redness, headache, mental confusion, petechiae, or sore throat.

Kenya is well prepared to handle any case of the disease should it emerge and be reported. The alertness and vigilance is due to the increasing number of Ebola cases in the neighbouring Uganda.
