Following today's Covid-19 updates from Ministry of Health, it's now clear that Kenyans should strictly adhere to Covid-19 updates to avoid another possible lockdown as Country has recorded high positivity rate as compared to previous days. This means that the spread of the virus is now rising.
According to the report from Ministry of Health, 847 people tested positive to the disease from a sample of 6,080 people tested in the last twenty four hours. The positivity rate of 13.9%.
This now push the total cases to 196,745 from a cumulative tests of 2,087,582 that has been conducted so far.In terms of distribution per counties, Nairobi is reported to have recorded the highest number, 397 people tested positive in the last 24 hours in this County followed by Busia in distance with 66 people reported to have tested positive to the disease. This means that Nairobi is now an hotspot of the disease and urgent action should be taken to curb further spread.
A total of 1,277 patients are currently admitted in various Health care facilities and 3,705 are under Home Based isolation and care facilities.
