Kenya Records Lower Positivity Rate In Today's Covid-19 Cases

Kenya has recorded 241 positive cases of covid-19. This brings the total number of positive cases in the country to 151,894. Today's cases ate from a sample size of 2515 in the last 24 hours . Total number of conducted now stands at 1.6 million people . From these samples 228 are Kenyans while 13 are foreigners. 135 are males and 106 are females. The positivity rate now stands at 9.6%.

The sad news is that 20 people have been reported to have lost their lives in the last 24 hours,11 on diverse dates within the last one month while 8 are late deaths conducted from facility record audits. This pushes total fatalities to 2,501 individuals.

A total of 1651 patients are currently admitted in various hospital facilities in the country, while 6,161 patients are on home based isolation and care .250 patients are currently admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU), 11 are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) according to the ministry of health to covid-19 announcement.

Today's covid-19 caseload is a big boost to the school reopening which depends entirely on the positivity rate that the ministry of health will give the Ministry of Education ahead of 10th May school reopening. The ministry of health is still encouraging Kenyans to continue observing health protocols that are aimed at reducing the spread of corona virus at the community level.
