Patients at Moi Referral Hospital in Voi have lamented how they are forced to wait longer to receive treatment after paying money through M-Pesa Till number. According to the rules at the hospital, patients are required to pay first before they receive treatment. Their problems is not even paying but the long time they wait before receiving treatment.[Photo Courtesy]
They complain that the person dealing with their payments is very slow because she has to confirm that a specific patient has send his/her required amount of money. Therefore, she takes alot of time before confirming all the M-Pesa messages sent by patients.
For that reason, the patients have to wait longer on the queue before their turn to receive treatment arrives. Therefore, the residents and all other patients are urging the County Government of Voi to look into the matter and improve the services at the hospital.
They are urging the County Government to add other M-Pesa agents at the hospital who will in turn reduce the time they take at the hospital. They are now waiting for official communication from the Managing Director at Voi Hospital to give them feedback on the same issue.
