The Government had promised that health workers are the first to be vaccinated based on the risk they are exposed to by handling Covid-19 patients. After securing a Vaccine Warehouse at Kitengela, the Ministry of Health has distributed the Covid-19 vaccines across the country. Though there is a low turnout for vaccination some political leaders have showed up to be vaccinated in presence of the mainstream media.
An update shared by KBC news shows photos of health workers being vaccinated at Afya House. We expect more health workers to come out more so at this time where the third wave of Covid 19 is striking in Kenya. And this could be a motivation for more Kenyans to come out since the government has assured the public about the safety of the vaccine.
People have been warned to continue taking precautions while in public. The recommended health measures include wearing masks, social distancing, and washing your hands.
