The Ministry of Health has in the last 24 hours informed Kenyans that 242 people were tested and from the total sample size tested 9 people tested positive for the virus. 5 of the new cases are males and 4 are females.
In terms of county distribution Nakuru is leading with 3 cases and Nairobi, Kisumu and Machakos have recovered 2 cases each.
63 patients have recovered and all of the new recoveries are from the home based care and isolation program.
No fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours. Total confirmed deaths in the country remain at 5, 684.
30 patients are currently admitted in the health care facilities in the country and 521 patients are currently admitted in hospital home based isolation and care program.
